| Exactly what I wanted I did a lot of research before ordering and could not be happier now that I have in hand. The description is not the quality of this knife justice. The grip is different and feels like it is super glued to your hand. As others have mentioned, the length of the right side of the blade is very good for most tasks and the weight should help to accomplish anything in nature. I can not wait to test on the ground quickly. Well doneI got this as a sort of birthday present. I chose because of a long list of great experiences with gerber. It took a little research because I have good experiences with and Kabar and CRKT. However, I do not regret this knife. A little knife is all that accurate description, but they really do not describe the quality of the material, fit and finish of the handle and the angle of the grind. The jacket is well made and can be mounted in almost any manor imagined. The only drawback I have found the surface of the blade. It is very easy and scratches after a Lansky sharpening kit because of scratches, but I have my blades anyway oil to prevent rusting. Because stainless steel is RUST!
In all, another excellent piece of equipment stack.

Gerber knifeGreat product. Even if the specifications are listed, it is difficult to assess the size of this knife. I had hoped to strap on the outside of my bag ... but it is a bit much ... I am now inside, where it is a bit less convenient, but not to attract attention.

Best all around knife for survival is for the money!I did a lot of research before I made this knife for my first knife in the open air. The Gerber LMF II series is filled with everything one would need in an emergency.
First, the knife is made of a thick layer of high-quality full-tang stainless steel blade. It is essential to take up the use, abuse, and the elements. It is American in Oregon, and has no problems with blades made in China. It is a good size for most tasks chop large pieces of wood will be a bit of a chore, but it is possible. Part sawtooth is also a large blade to cut the rope. The handle is very comfortable and easy to access, but a little thin, which May be a problem for some people.
