It bears the name of the beast for a reason!

I had this question before, but it was stolen from me. I tried to use two other types of shingles to remove and did the job so much more for labor. No stores around here sold this malco tool, but I was determined to find, whatever the price. I ordered two of them and of course they live up to their name! They are very heavy. With these tools, and only two people who do the work, we made a 2-layer tear the roof of a hip that was about 13 square of only 4.5 hours, completely clean of all the nails too! Boards are not boring. Since I ripped about 70 squares of shingles with a minimum of tool wear. I never buy the Beast Malco. The head does make a huge difference!

Great Tool

Worked with others using the right cutting tools .... after a short period of time, they wanted to use mine. With much less effort than my friends, lifted nails, staples, and three layers of old shingles. Even did a great job on the ice and water - very difficult to eliminate the sub-after others have abandoned it. I recommend this tool for anyone undertaking a major overhaul of roof.

Shingle remover

Definitely the best shingle remover on the market. Be prepared to replace
nuts on the bolts that hold the shovel handle lock, because originally will vibrate loose.

Cut through the shingles as a hot knife through butter

Never have stripped a roof before, I bought 2 "beasts" on Amazon and a "Brand X" shingle remover off the shelf at the local hardware store to make sure I made a tool that works well. The difference in the tools has been incredible. The beast is horrible and hard work of stripping shingles almost fun. This thing EATS effortless shingles and nails, as I never imagined could be a tool! The other, less expensive tool was an exercise in futility and frustration. It took much more energy and effort to use than the Beast, and removed much less shingles over time. After a very short time, guys can help me help if they could use a "beast". I was skeptical that design tools can make all the difference, but the claims are true. BUY IT!
