This mobile base is Good For What It's Meant To

I read the comments below I ordered the item, but before I received and I was frantic, worried I had made a mistake and looking for something that is more promising magic . In fact, I was commissioned by Grizzly, and had not been for me, it might be available on Amazon, I never thought in advance to see here for reviews.

In response to what I read, I, it has strengthened a bit. To mount the wheels, I separated 5 / 16 "bolts and nuts, and bought extra bolts metric to use so I can mount the base and not worry about the" pot metal "material accompanies or "thin steel" he pointed out. In fact, I put it with a bolt in every hole available, which is ten in each corner instead of four. I also tried to find replacement wheels, chipping of the reports, but to keep on the crutches

Do not buy

I bought the item through Grizzly and their customer service was excellent. As for the shop Woodstock and Fox do not bother buying. When I opened the box all the hardware was loose in and around half of it had disappeared. According to the instruction sheet, if parts are missing, you should contact Woodstock or for reasons of expediency, replacements can be obtained at your local hardware store. " This reality tells me that we (Woodstock) know that this is a problem, but it is easier for you to get the equipment you and for us to fix it.

As with the basic bolt holes very tight and difficult and some were robbed. The bolt holes were locking mechanisim so tight they could not be tightened after about half and two plastic buttons broken force the use of a key to

Perfect for my Table Saw

I used this for my Grizzly G0444 Table Saw, and it worked very well. A very solid base for the saw, but I move around my store easily if necessary. I would rate this a little more basic than the equivalent Hitachi base which is often presented as an alternative by Amazon. Much more robust, better designed. Worth the slightly higher cost.

Not sufficient for large and saws Grizzly 1023SL

I recently bought a Grizzly cabinet saw 1023SLW with the mobility of the base system directly from Grizzly. The saw is very heavy, and this base is not strong enough for this saw. The problem seems to be with the wheels. Both are small, and provides insufficient basis on the ground unless you are working on a smooth surface, very flat, and do not need to move the saw for long distances, more than two or three feet at most. I saw my move from my garage in the bay of my round trip each time I use it. The problem is that the swivel pivot castering wheels are not under the weight of the saw, and are more likely to slide from side rather than rotate, so it is difficult to position the mine Saw. spend approximately 10 feet and back each time. So far, about 5 times. Today, the tires were completely out of a launch vehicle wheel, which makes replacing mandatory before q

The looked very solid, but cheaper elsewhere

I just bought a band saw 14 inches from Grizzly and I would buy this to go with it, then I read the negative comments here. When I arrived at Grizzly and examined, it is a nice heavy base. It uses rectangular tubes to track the stamp instead of the plate, like other brands. I did not buy it because I searched and found that the tool supply western base that sells for $ 49.99. Then I found the HTC mobile base for sale at Rockler for $ 49.99 and that is what I ended up bringing home.

Several reviewers complained that the base is not well run, and I think they are not only understand the dynamics of the mobile base. If you have 300 to 400 pounds of cast iron tool on 4 small wheels, the floor must be clean and smooth for the wheels to roll. Wood chips, sawdust, power cords, or small stopping point of the tool
